Yes, this is a reoccurring theme for me, but for goodness sakes people, please be kind! Please be kind to people who are kind to you, but please be especially kind to the people who are not.
I just got an email from a vendor that came off kind of dicky. I’m going to assume he didn’t mean it that way. The thing he was questioning was discussed with a member of his staff last week, but that person is on vacation this week, so I am going to assume that because of that, he has been overwhelmed this week, and that by 4 pm on Friday I am just getting some misplaced aggression.
The thing he was questioning shouldn’t be a big deal, and I didn’t throw the staff member under the bus – I will discuss it with him or her when he or she is back next week, to see if there is some secret about this that I did not know…lol – but instead of responding with WTF does it matter, I answered politely, explained why I was doing what I was doing, asked him to let me know if it was going to be a problem to continue doing it, and thanked him for offering the value added service. Hopefully, my kindness will help ease some of his aggression before he gets home to his lovely wife and kids, and perhaps, he will type his next email with a bit more kindness too.
I will admit, though, some days being kind is harder than others, and I am asking God for strength and guidance with this one every single day at this point…lol.
Happy Friday y’all!
Much love to all of you, with Hope and Faith!
