About the Experiment

I was rejected by Only Fans.  Just when I thought my life couldn’t sink any lower, I was rejected by Only Fans…lol.  How did I end up there you might ask?  It’s a great question.  Seriously, what would drive a self-respecting, middle-aged woman, who has no social media presence, to join Only Fans?

Long story short, I was, and still am, trying to save my business.  My husband and I own and operate a small construction company.  I, however, run the business, so I feel like its success or failure rests on my shoulders.  A few years back, there was a project that went sideways.  We did all that we could legally do to prevent the trouble from happening, but the people in charge insisted that there wasn’t an issue, until the issue was so big that it couldn’t be ignored.  By then it was a $250,000.00 problem, a problem that I had to finance (more on that later), and that I am still trying to get paid for.  In the grand scheme of things, that may not seem like a lot of money, but it has cost almost another $200,000.00 in interest and attorney’s fees that I cannot recover, and that cost continues to grow daily.

So, I asked myself, what do I have to offer?  What am I good at?  What do I have that could be of value and that could help others?  And before you go jumping to the dark and dirty side…lol…NO, that’s not why I tried to join Only Fans!

I have been working on my Spiritual development for the last several years, and I believe that I am a conduit for good.  I love being able to help solve problems, to connect people with other people or services that they can benefit from.  I am a genuine person.  I am FAR from perfect, but I am constantly working to improve myself, and I am a great listener.

I had recently taken a class on life coaching – which isn’t at all what I am going for here – but that class, and the fact that this whole life coach thing is a growing industry, made me realize that maybe there are a lot of people out there that don’t have what I would consider real friends anymore.  I don’t like the phrase “life coach”, because, to me, a coach knows the rules of the game, has a playbook, and goes into each game with a plan.  Life, in my experience, isn’t like that…lol.  There are some basic rules (like the Ten Commandments, for example), but life is fluid and constantly changing, because we have free will.  Life is so much easier to navigate, though, when you have someone you can count on to listen to you, to really hear what you are saying, to provide that shoulder to cry on when you have a really awful day, or to kick you in the ass when you are feeling sorry for yourself, and tell you that it’s time to stand up, brush off, and move on.  A true friend, someone who tells you the truth, even (especially) when it hurts, but is also there to share in the triumphs and joys in your life, because having someone to share the highs with is just as important as having someone there to help get you through the lows.

Back to how I ended up at Only Fans…lol.  The site actually has a lifestyle section, and I thought I might be able to establish myself there, as someone who is real, no AI responses (that’s actually a feature in OF, you can have AI respond to messages for you).  Someone to listen to and share life experiences with people who were there looking for a human connection, hoping that these people might find value in what I offered, helping me to save my business.

Since I was rejected there, I had to determine if it was the location that wasn’t meant to be, or if it was the idea all together.  I haven’t been able to shake the feeling that this is something that I am supposed to do, so I continued to look for the right place to do it.  I considered other platforms, but I didn’t feel like I fit on those either, so, I decided to just create a website on my own, and see what comes of it.

Now, let’s address the irony.  I was rejected by Only Fans, because I have no social media presence.  I think social media is decimating our society, so I have chosen not to participate in it in any meaningful way until now, I guess, where I hope to make a difference.  To, perhaps, undo some of the damage that it does.  Time will tell, but my plan is to share some of my story with you, to connect with people on a one-to-one basis, and to host respectful discussions on topics that interest all of you.

If you have found me, then I believe that you are supposed to be here too, and perhaps I have something to offer that might be beneficial to you, so please reach out if you have any questions, or have something that you would like to discuss.  I look forward to getting to know you!
