How many of you are like me, and tell yourself, “if I can just get through this, whatever this may be, things will be better”?  I have been doing that for the last two years, and guess what, I am not through it yet…lol…but when I stop and think about it, things have gotten better.

The tough times we experience aren’t always all bad.  There is good in all things, sometimes it’s just a LOT harder to find the good than others…lol.  I heard something the other day that made me stop and think about that.  It was something along the lines of, “if you stay focused on the bad (like that thing you are trying to get through) that’s all you are going to see, but if you can focus on the good and can start to see that instead, it just might help get past whatever that thing is that you are trying to overcome”.  Of course, the person saying it said it much more eloquently than I just did, but I think you can get the gist of it from my version…lol.

So, that is what I have been working on with myself this week.  I have been trying to stay focused on my blessings - and there are many, so it shouldn’t be that hard, but somedays it truly is – and allow the gratitude I have for those blessing to overcome the challenges that I am facing.  I always thank God for the everyday things, but I have been missing out on some of the little blessings I experience every day, so I am going to concentrate more on being in the moment and being grateful for what I have now, and stop worrying about what tomorrow might bring.  We are all guaranteed the present, but none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow, so why ruin today worrying about what may or may not happen tomorrow?

Will you please join me, and challenge yourself to do the same?

Much love to you all, with Hope and Faith!
